I had been stuck with what to choose and also didn’t have the time to sort it out but @hillarysblinds made it super simple… I chose fabric samples I liked from the website, then arranged for Michael, my local advisor to come and show me all the different options and measure up… we picked a gorgeously textured Abigail Ahern fabric and Michael then suggested adding a trim to the bottom edge, I chose black to pick out the other black accents in the room. I also chose a thick interlining to keep the room cosy as we have single glazed windows. As this is a busy room and the window is behind the table Michael suggested going for a smart blind that can be operated remotely - genius idea! Michael was then back a few weeks later to put the finished blind up, this is a job I hate doing so very happy not to be up the ladder with a drill! And there you have it, no fuss, no stress, just a gorgeously dressed window, don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner!!

Since having @hillarysblinds blackout blinds fitted Larry seems to be sleeping more during the day. He can’t tell if I haven’t opened the curtains bless him. 🤣 I’m so glad I opted for the blackout lining which provides energy efficiency benefits by reducing heat loss but also helps with noise control. The layering of the Venetian blinds with the heavy curtains has created such a cosy feel, yet still allows for complete light control during the day. Did you know tilting your Venetian blinds upwards is the most effective way to keep heat in too!

A smart window seat definitely calls for a smart blind in my opinion! Our @hillarysblinds advisor helped us determine the best style for the space and we opted for a motorised day and night blind that we upgraded to smart so that it can simply be controlled by a click of a button or through an app. It’s an absolute game changer and helps to make our busy mornings run far more smoothly... It really is why Hillarys is the wise choice!

Probably the best ‘before’ pic we have! I love the view from this shower room ❤️ usually there are some 🐏🐑 wandering around but not today! We’re planning a complete change to this entire corner of the house- preserving the gorgeous original stained glass window of course! Watch this space!

When @hillarysblinds asked me to take part in a campaign for their pleated blinds I immediately yelled YESSSS! I’ve used their products so often in editorial shoots and have always been a huge fan. But I wasn’t really aware of their pleated blind collection. Well I can tell you I had no idea they come in so many shades...that they could be fitted from the bottom of your window up to provide extra privacy AND their honeycomb construction traps air and can really help to insulate the room. Win win!! Dave, the Hillarys advisor came with a car load full of samples.... wowwww... The mouth watering range is completely out of this world... velvets, fringes, contrasting linings, patterns schmatterns.... so we slowly came up a layered scheme using the Thermashade pleated blinds in teal, teaming them up with the black Cley Mole velvet roman blinds and the Harkness Gasoline velvet curtains. The advisor measured up the whole bay window...while I supplied the tea and cake...and the cherry on the top...the service includes fitting too. What’s not to love! Hope you like them as much as me! Tad-ahh I worked with @hillarysblinds last month to put the finishing touch to both our bedroom and en-suite and here are the results, tad-aah! My lovely @hillarysblinds advisor Paul visited to measure up and brought a ton of pattern books with him, we decided on roman blinds with black out linings for both windows. For our bedroom I chose Garratt Peat and in our en suite Harkness Gasoline both trimmed with Collette fringing in Kohl, all from their @abigailahern range. I chose Garratt Peat for the bedroom as I wanted something simple and classic that would complement the rest of the scheme. For the en suite Harkness Gasoline was perfect as the colours worked so well with the vintage artwork, plants and wood effect flooring already in the room. I love the playful nature of the Collette fringing which comes in a choice of lovely earthy tones (swipe to see). Post contains previously gifted items
