Ellwood Flint Grey

Wooden Blinds

Flint grey is a mid-toned shade in our new collection and sits perfectly balanced between the other two shades of grey – Iron and Silver. There’s a little touch of both brown and green to this colour and you can use this to your advantage when it comes to pairing it up with other colours. This versatility is one of the reasons it’s a more contemporary grey, rather than a classic grey and it’s got a little more heat than the cooler classic version too, so ideal if that’s a feature you’re looking for. Pair it with green or, separately, brown and you’ll pull these other colours forward on the blind, nudging it one way or another, or keep it simple with the odd touch of grey amid simple neutrals for a subtly contemporary look that can work throughout your home.

Quality is something we take very seriously here at Hillarys. All our products are rigorously tested to ensure they are made to the best standards and look and fit exactly as they should. We want you to be completely satisfied with your Wooden blinds, so we offer a full 12-month warranty as assurance that our products will stand the test of time. This is our promise to you that you’re investing in a quality product that’s made to the highest specifications. As part of your warranty we will repair or replace any faulty goods free of charge.

Cleaning Tips

Close your Wooden blinds and tilt the slats downwards until flat. Wipe over with a dry, clean cloth to remove dust and debris, before tilting the slats upwards and repeating. Any stubborn marks should be lightly buffed with a damp cloth – bear in mind any excess moisture or excessive rubbing may damage the wood.

Child Safety

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Wooden blind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children.

FAQ's

Which windows suit Wooden blinds?

Wooden blinds are a practical and stylish solution for any space. They can be made to fit narrow and wider windows, with a choice of slat widths designed to match the scale of your window. As the slats are horizontal and straight, they can’t be made to fit around sloping or shaped windows – Vertical blinds would be better here.

Can I have them in my bathroom or kitchen?

Like most wood products, humidity and moisture can cause Wooden blinds to warp or fade in colour. Instead, we offer a range of Faux Wood blinds, which look like real wood but are designed to withstand steamy or damp environments such as kitchens and bathrooms.

What colour options are available?

Our Wooden blinds are available in a range of painted pastel shades and natural wood stains. You can also choose a matching valance in the same shade to conceal the headrail, plus add coloured tapes and other accessories to complete your look.

Are Wooden blinds blackout?

Wooden blinds will dramatically reduce the amount of light coming into your room. However even when the slats are tilted until flat, there may still be small gaps between them or around the edges where light may leak in.
