    What are Blackout blinds?

A Blackout blind features a specialist fabric or lining that helps prevent light from coming into your room. They can be fitted to windows throughout your home.

Do blackout blinds keep heat out?

Yes, our blackout linings have thermal properties too. During the winter months, blackout blinds can help to reduce energy loss through your windows and keep your home cosier.  In summer, blackout blinds can also help keep your home cooler by reducing the amount of heat that enters your room through your windows.

Are blackout blinds good for you?

Blackout blinds help you control the light coming into your home. They dramatically reduce the light, making it easier for you to have a better night’s sleep. They can also help reduce the light in the daytime too, if you or someone in your house needs a daytime snooze.

Blackout blinds can help regulate temperature too by reducing the sunlight that comes into your room. Some light may still seep around the edges of the blind, but your local advisor will advise you on getting the ideal fit or the best combination of products to avoid this seepage.

How do I install a blackout blind?

Your local expert advisor will install your made-to-measure blind for you so that you'll get a perfect fit, first time. Remember, your blind is guaranteed for 12 months for peace of mind, too. How our service works

Do light coloured blackout blinds work?

Blackout linings can be fitted to our full range of Roman blinds fabrics. Blackout fabrics for Pleated, Roller and Vertical blinds are available in a wide choice of colour options including white, cream and many other pale colours.

What we say about Blackout blinds

    Great for…
    • Minimising light levels in bedrooms to create a restful environment
    • Creating your perfect look – choose from Rollers, Romans, Pleated and Vertical blinds in a blackout finish
    • Reducing glare on TV and laptop screens
    • Keeping rooms cool by reducing sunlight levels
    • All budgets, with a range of styles to choose from
    • Upgrade with electric motorisation for remote control operation or making your Blackout blind smart compatible
    Things to consider
    • Some blind types may allow a small amount of light in around the sides or between louvres. Opting for a Perfect Fit blind will help this, as the blind sits snugly within a special frame
    • Vertical blinds are available in a dim out finish, although a small amount of light may be visible between the louvres

Choose your blackout blind based on colour
