What we say about bedroom curtains

    • Bring the tranquility of nature into your bedroom with green curtains. Whether it's a soft sage or a deep emerald, green curtains bring a sense of calm and freshness to your sleeping retreat.
    • For an airy feel, white bedroom curtains are the way to go. Timeless and versatile, they'll complement any décor style.
    • Go for grey bedroom curtains for a touch of elegance and sophistication.
    • From serene sky tones to deep navy hues, blue curtains add a sense of calm, an ideal choice for creating a peaceful sanctuary.
    • Mix up the vibe with different header styles for your bedroom curtains, from modern wave curtains to relaxed and rustic velvet pencil pleat curtains.
    • Lined bedroom curtains are practical as well as stylish. Thermal curtains will add an extra layer at your window keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter, while blackout curtains help block out the light to create a dark and restful space for sleep.

    Questions on our bedroom curtains?

Here are some of our frequently asked questions (FAQs) about bedroom curtains. If you have a question about our service or your appointment, please see our general FAQs here.

How do I style bedroom curtains?

Your local advisor will offer you practical advice on everything from the best way of controlling the light, beautiful solutions for very large or very small windows, and the different looks that can be created with curtain headers and your choice of pole or track. We can also advise you on the best blackout solutions for transforming a younger child’s room into a grown up retreat.

How do I choose curtains for my bedroom?

With so many options on offer, it can be daunting to decide which curtains will be the best ones for your bedroom. Think about your most pressing concerns. Is your bedroom overlooked? If so you may wish to think about Voiles for daytime privacy, paired with lined curtains for a day-to-evening look. Do you wish to sleep in a room that is as dark as possible? Blackout curtains paired with blackout blinds would be ideal. Your local advisor will give expert advice.

What is the best colour for blackout bedroom curtains?

Our blackout lining works with any fabric in our curtains range and will help reduce the light coming into your room, regardless of the fabric colour you choose. Browse our collection of curtain fabrics and decide which ones best suits your bedroom aesthetic. You can then order up to eight free samples. Can't decide? We'll bring them all to your appointment.

Will curtains keep my bedroom warmer?

Yes, curtains are great insulators and can help to reduce heat loss. To keep as much heat as possible in your living room, choose curtains with a thermal lining or blackout lining - it'll help reduce heat loss by 14% to keep your home cosier. In summer, curtains can also help keep a room cooler by reducing the amount of heat that enters through your windows. A blackout lining will also help block the light so you can get a peaceful nights' sleep. Choose naturally thicker curtain fabrics like velvet or layer your curtains over a made-to-measure blind to improve the thermal qualities of your curtains even further. Closing your curtains by dusk will help insulate your bedroom windows at night and keep the space feeling cosy.
