Questions on our living room curtains?

See answers to our most popular questions about living room curtains below. If you can't find what you're looking for, all of our FAQs are here.

How do I measure living room curtains

It’s critical that measuring your windows for living room curtains is done perfectly, since you’re likely to be spending a lot of time in your room looking at them. Measuring and fitting are included in the price as part of our in-home service, so you don’t need to worry about getting it right. Your local advisor will measure up and install your curtains for a perfect finish, first time.

How do I style my living room curtains?

You can style your living room curtains in many ways, from choosing a sheer fabric from our Voiles collection, or pairing luxury velvet curtains with stunning blinds. Your local advisor will give you expert advice at your in-home appointment, or alternatively you can order up to 8 samples of your favourite fabrics.

Will my living room curtains help keep the heat in?

Yes, curtains are great insulators and can help to reduce heat loss. To keep as much heat as possible in your living room, choose curtains with a blackout lining or thermal lining - it'll help reduce heat loss by 14% to keep your home cosier. In summer, they can also help keep a room cooler by reducing the amount of heat that enters through your windows. A blackout lining will also help block the light so you can watch TV or look at your laptop screen without any glare. Choose naturally thicker curtain fabrics like velvet or layer your curtains over a made-to-measure blind to improve the thermal qualities of your curtains even further. Closing your curtains by dusk will help insulate your living room windows at night and keep the space feeling cosy.
